Some things cannot be rushed

LAREEN Atelier began with a fascination for pieces that feel different — objects shaped by detail, character and the unmistakable touch of the hand.

Every handbag is created individually, one bead at a time. There is no production line and no fixed rhythm to follow. A piece takes the time its form requires — from the first strand of crystals to the final frame, handle and finishing detail.

What begins as individual materials slowly becomes something with its own presence. No two pieces are ever entirely identical. That is not something to correct. It is what gives each piece its distinctive character.

ONE PIECE, FROM BEGINNING TO END

The making of Aurélia Lumière Mini offers a glimpse into that process. What begins as a narrow strand of crystal beads slowly takes shape — growing bead by bead, hour by hour, until the final silhouette emerges.

FROM A SINGLE STRAND

It begins almost weightlessly. A narrow strand becomes a row, the row becomes a surface, and gradually the surface begins to hold a shape.

Each crystal is placed individually. There is no mould determining the result and no machine setting the pace — only repetition, proportion and the constant adjustment of the piece by hand.

INSPIRED BY LIGHT

Light gives Aurélia Lumière a different character with every hour.

In clear daylight, the crystals appear cool and silver. As the sun lowers, warmer reflections begin to move through their facets, until the entire piece takes on the golden tones of the setting sun.

The silhouette remains the same. The way it reveals itself does not.
